During the last 15 years in the valley, it has been reported by the official sources that approximately 80000 (Eighty Thousand) people have died in the war. However, unofficial sources report approximately 1,50000 (One Hundred Fifty Thousand) people to have died. This war has left a great impact on the minds of the Kashmiris, which results in mental stress and various other health and domestic problems.

There are thousand of children who have lost their parents. The future of these children is dark unless the NGO (Non Government Organizations) and the people will come forward to help and secure the future of these innocent children.AKMAL PUBLIC SCHOOL is playing a vital role in this respect. We have come a long way but still need to do more.

AKMAL PUBLIC SCHOOL would like to provide better amenities to these children who do not have any one to help. The management would like to enroll more and more children in order to provide them with food, clothes and education. The main constraint is the lack of more building. We are looking for the help from people from all over the world to help us to achieve this goal.
