Akmal Public School is one of the registered Institution with Government of Jammu & Kashmir as an N.G.O under Societies Act Vide No:2148-S-1994 and with Department of Education Vide No:934-EDU of 2001 dated July 19^th 2001. The institution was established in 1988. Presently, the institution is operating a High School and intends to convert it into a Degree College in near future.

This school is located in a remote area that is socially, economically, morally and educationally so backward that zero percent education was available. All in the spirit to serve the weaker section, downtrodden, destitute, orphans, mentally retarded and physically handicapped persons, social victims etc.
